Just because Ledger was a supporting actor and maybe not the main character of the film he dominated every scene he was in. I remember when I saw the movie in theaters Ledger had me on the edge of my seat wondering what stunt he was going to pull next. But I agree completely just because you have a supporting role in the movie does not mean that you can't have the best performance I think without a doubt Ledger did a way better job at his role than Bale did as Batman.
